2025 Year in Review: RxToolKit Updates

2025 Year in Review RxToolKit Software & Company Updates
In 2025, RxToolKit made significant updates to our software features, including adding new content, enhancing existing features, and expanding partnerships to bring accessibility to users. We also added new partnerships, visited clients in person, and held a handful of team events throughout the year. As we enter 2026, we look back on the past year with gratitude for our team, clients, partners, and everyone who supports our mission.

RxToolKit Through the Year

2025 was a busy year for RxToolKit, filled with team events, visits with clients, software feature updates, new partnerships, and more. In just the last year, RxToolKit added nearly 100 new biologics, antibiotics, vaccines, and oncology medications to our library of medication guides. In addition to improving the software, the RxToolKit team attended 10 conferences and tradeshows for the infusion, pharmacy, and oncology industries, and met dozens of new faces and friends.

Conference Attendance

Among the conferences our team attended in 2025—including those of our partners like NeuroNet Pro, the Infusion Nurses Society, the Immunoglobulin National Society, and McKesson Accelerate—RxToolKit made its annual splash at the 2025 National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) Conference and the 2025 National Infusion Center Association (NICA) Conference.

NHIA 2025

The RxToolKit team had a blast at the 2025 NHIA Conference in Washington D.C. To kickstart the conference, our team partnered with WeInfuse and Tennr to throw a welcome party for the ages. Complete with music, food and drinks, a photo booth, and beer pong, the party was one to remember.

But the NHIA Conference was just getting started, so our RxToolKit team members set up shop in the conference exhibit hall for the next few days to network and show off our software solutions.

For a full recap of our time spent at NHIA, read our article, “NHIA 2025: Headlines for Home Infusion.”

NICA 2025

Similar to the 2025 NHIA Conference, this year’s NICA conference left a lasting impression. Before the conference officially started, RxToolKit was featured at the inaugural WeInfuse University meeting, a live session for WeInfuse users to learn more about all of the features and benefits available to them through the software.

Bitcoin OTC Company

After the successful WeInfuse University meeting, RxToolKit team members got ready for the party of the weekend: the Infusion Access Foundation (IAF) TOAST: Together for Treatment fundraising gala. Adorned in Havana Nights-themed outfits, RxToolKit raised the roof and showed our support for our partner, IAF.

In case the TOAST event wasn’t enough excitement, RxToolKit and WeInfuse were also invited to attend Tennr’s exclusive cruise around Miami Beach, where we enjoyed drinks, great views, and even greater company.

And we can’t forget what it’s all about: exhibiting at the conference. The RxToolKit booth was manned by our awesome sales team; RxToolKit Founder Chuck DiTrapano, RPh; our favorite Client Success Director Kiana Kleeman; and some special sweets and drinks. As always, our team loved being able to chat with current clients, show new friends what our software can do, and get in some rays while at the NICA conference.

For a full recap of our time spent at NICA, read our article, “2025 NICA Conference: Ambulatory Infusion Center News.”

Client Visits

Being able to create and maintain lasting relationships with our clients is a priority at RxToolKit. That’s why we made sure to pop into a few of our clients’ offices and locations across the country and check in, help them go live with the software, and get to know the people using our solutions.

Team Events

We also value our team members as people, as well as the amazing employees they are. That’s why we love being able to have fun team events, happy hours, and office parties to show our appreciation.

Maegan Brehm, PharmD answers audience questions following her live webinar with the Infusion Nurses Society (INS), Immediate-Use Compounding.

On December 10th, RxToolKit’s own Maegan Brehm hosted a live webinar with the Infusion Nurses Society about the importance of compounded sterile preparation (CSP) and best practices to ensure safety and sterility when preparing medications outside of a cleanroom.

The Learning Objectives for this webinar included:

  • Define immediate-use compounding under USP <797> (2023)
  • Identify and understand the seven criteria that qualify preparation as an immediate-use CSP, exempting it from full USP <797> requirements
  • Describe best practices for reducing the risk of contamination when compounding for immediate use outside of ISO-5 conditions
  • Explain the distinction between compounding and preparation by approved labeling

The webinar is available in the INS Learning Center, and in RxELearning to RxToolKit users free of charge. In both locations, clinicians who complete the webinar will be awarded two CRNI® recertification units and one nursing contact hour.

What We Heard: Client Testimonials

At RxToolKit, we pride ourselves on our relationships with our users. That’s why we make an effort to visit clients in-person, have real people on the other side of every customer service interaction, and are constantly working to improve our software.

It makes us so proud to hear what our users think of our software and our service, so we wanted to share a little bit of what we heard.

Partnerships

In the last year, RxToolKit has introduced two new partnerships designed to further our mission of eliminating preventable medication errors and improving clinicians’ confidence in the infusion space. We were also proud to announce that two of our existing partnerships were updated to provide our users with even more access to the essential training they need.

We’re incredibly grateful for our partners and the work they do to put safety and education first. Together, we’re working toward a safer future for infusion.

The Infusion Nurses Society

RxToolKit first partnered with the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) in 2023 to provide infusion-specific continuing education (CE) courses to our users. As an international nonprofit organization representing clinicians in the infusion industry, INS is dedicated to providing and promoting education and resources for healthcare professionals involved in infusion therapy.

In 2023, this partnership allocated 25 of the INS CE units to be housed in RxELearning, our clinical training and education platform, and to be available free of charge to RxToolKit users. Upon completion of each CE course, clinicians were granted two CRNI® recertification units and one nursing contact hour.

Some of our currently available CE units include:

In 2025, we expanded our partnership with INS to continue to provide an updated library of eligible CE courses, and to also offer a library of on-demand INS webinars relevant to infusion and oncology.

Some of the currently available on-demand webinars include:

The Immunoglobulin National Society

In 2023, RxToolKit also partnered with the Immunoglobulin National Society (IgNS), a multidisciplinary, standards-setting organization dedicated to the advancement of immunoglobulin therapy and biologics across all clinical indications and areas of practice.

Our partnership with IgNS allocated up to 25 immunoglobulin-focused continuing medical education (CME) courses to be available within RxELearning free of charge to RxToolKit users. Upon completion of each CME course, clinicians were eligible to receive IgCN® recertification units and nursing, pharmacy, and/or physician contact hours.

In 2025, we updated our partnership to provide RxToolKit users with free educational access to IgNS. This allows users full access to IgNS’ library of education courses and CMEs, free of charge.

To learn more about our partnership with IgNS, contact info@rxtoolkit.com.

The Infusion Access Foundation

In early 2025, RxToolKit partnered with the Infusion Access Foundation (IAF), a nonprofit community of patients and advocates dedicated to expanding access to provider-administered therapies, to encourage the highest level of care for patients by furthering our mission of eliminating medication errors in infusion spaces and improving clinicians’ confidence at the point-of-care.

McKesson

RxToolKit also partnered with McKesson Specialty Care Distribution in 2025, a national specialty pharmaceutical distribution organization supporting physician practices and clinics across the U.S. This partnership expands access to point-of-care medication guidance, clinical education, and training tools for McKesson-affiliated infusion practices.

Software Updates

2025 was a big year for RxToolKit’s software development, with new features, new medications, new courses, and new calculators. Our team is dedicated to providing up-to-date information and improving our solutions in order to enhance user experience and improve clinical outcomes.

Single-Sign On

We have implemented single-sign on (SSO) for our users between the RxToolKit application and the RxELearning platform. Users can now seamlessly open RxELearning through the “eLearning” tab in RxToolKit and immediately log in. New users who have not yet been created in RxELearning will have an account automatically created for them when they access it for the first time.

Oncology Expansion

We are also expanding our library of medications to include oncology. Similar to our other medication monographs, RxToolKit provides advanced clinical calculators designed to support precise, individualized dosing. Among these is an in-depth Area Under the Curve (AUC) calculator, which helps determine more accurate chemotherapy dosing based on patient-specific factors.

Oncology medications featured in RxToolKit include: a hazardous drug warning to keep clinicians as safe as possible when handling toxic medications; applicable AUC calculators for effective dosing and administration; and the quick summary, drug information, preparation and administration guidelines, warnings and precautions, patient education printouts, and more that are included in every RxWorkFlow.

Some of the oncology medications offered in our library include but are not limited to: Avastin, Herceptin, Keytruda, Opdivo, Tecentriq, and Xgeva. To learn more about the medications available, visit rxtoolkit.com/solutions/rxworkflow.

Biosimilars and Unbranded Drugs

RxToolKit has refined how biosimilars and unbranded drugs are managed within RxWorkFlow. Each biosimilar now has its own dedicated RxWorkFlow, while each unbranded drug is incorporated into its corresponding branded medication guide. These updates strengthen workflow clarity, improve product accuracy, and help maintain consistency across all drug types.

Resources Tab

RxToolKit’s new “Resources” tab provides users with helpful references and tools they can use to support their practice, such as Orange Book, FDA Drug Shortage Database, Codify, etc. The “Resources” tab is also where we host the accessibility to IgNS, where users are created with an account upon accessing the link on this page and can login using SSO.

Calculator Updates

We’ve also made updates to some of our built-in calculators and added new ones, including the AUC calculator for applicable oncology medications, Target Volume Preparation calculators, and Titration & Taper Administration calculators. All of our RxToolKit calculators give users the ability to copy information and print as needed.

Target Volume Preparation Calculator

The Target Volume Preparation calculator is a new addition that was primarily designed to help users dose and prepare VYVGART where a target final volume is used to determine dose. Once all inputs are filled, this calculator provides the user with the dose volume and the diluent volume needed for preparation. Procedure guidelines and step-by-step preparation instructions are also available.

Titration & Taper Administration Calcs

RxToolKit's taper schedule calculator.

We have made significant enhancements to our Titration and Taper Administration calculators, including implementing infusion-rate limits for medications that require a maximum rate, which allows the system to automatically calculate the associated dose.

Both the Variable Concentration Administration calculator for rituximab drugs and the Taper Administration calculator for IVIGs have been upgraded to calculate total infusion time. This helps scheduling teams determine appropriate appointment lengths, leading to more accurate time allocation.

New fields—such as volume to be infused and remaining volume—have been added to the taper chart to give nurses clearer, more complete information during administration. For nursing teams, the enhanced taper chart provides better clarity for pump programming and supports stronger clinical judgment when administering complex therapies.

New RxELearning Courses

In addition to the continuing education course updates made available through our partnerships with INS and IgNS, and the constant drug-specific course additions our team makes throughout the year, the RxToolKit pharmacy team also created a handful of new e-courses to help clinicians dig into topical areas to boost their confidence, encourage best practices, and increase safety.

RxToolKit e-courses are also available a-la-cart in our RxAcademy store for individuals who wish to learn more about these clinical topics.

Biosimilar Courses

Along with each biosimilar receiving its own RxWorkFlow, RxToolKit has developed new biosimilar courses in response to the increasing number of biosimilars and unbranded generics entering the market. Because these products are often very similar to their reference drugs, we have combined them into single, streamlined courses that now feature an updated design and new quizzes.

Vascular Access Devices

This new e-course was designed to equip healthcare professionals with the essential knowledge and skills regarding vascular access devices (VADs). Throughout the course, users can explore various types of VADs, learn to select the most appropriate VAD and site for placement, and review the key points for placing a short peripheral catheter.

Students also gain insight into the ongoing care and maintenance of VADs, the key points and procedures for device removal, and how to recognize and prevent potential complications. Additionally, the course covers commonly used supplies necessary for maintaining VADs, ensuring that users are well-prepared to manage these devices effectively in clinical practice.

Personal Hygiene and Garbing for Sterile Compounding Areas

Adherence to USP 797 guidelines is essential with sterile compounding to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. This new e-course focuses on the critical role of personal hygiene and proper garbing in maintaining a controlled compounding environment. Students learn to identify conditions that increase contamination risks and the preparatory steps to take before entering the compounding area. The course provides step-by-step guidance on handwashing, hand sanitization, and the correct procedures for donning and doffing garb, reinforcing the minimum standards required for compliance. Additionally, the course highlights best practices to enhance compliance and optimize sterile compounding protocols.

IV Administration Methods and Infusion Devices

Intravenous therapy plays a critical role in patient care, requiring careful selection of administration methods and infusion devices. This e-course provides clinicians with the knowledge to navigate the various methods for injectable administration, including IV push and infusion-based delivery systems. Students review vascular access devices, explore infusion technologies, and key clinical and economic factors that influence selection. Additionally, the course highlights drug-specific considerations that impact administration choices and reinforces best practices for patient safety when utilizing infusion devices.
